Comeback Kids
Celebrate the return of everyone’s favorite heart-pounding, fist-pumping sport on ice.

Ironically, despite the climate, ice hockey was the University of Houston’s first competitive sport.
Clearly, that fledgling team had something to prove. They showed up and showed out with an undefeated record their first season, leading their opponents with an average of 3-to-1 goals per match.
The 1941 yearbook staff called them “a fighting bunch of puck pushers.”
But despite the energy and finesse with which they entered the scene, the club was destined to flounder during subsequent decades—until now.
Today, the ice hockey club is making a comeback.
