Where else can NFT crafters meet West Texas ranchers but at UH? Lights, Cameras, Careers in Action!
Director Michael Grossman, famous for household-favorite TV shows including “Pretty Little Liars,” “Nashville” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” is working on a lesser-known production at UH: a spring break crash course on short film pre-production that gives students frontline experience in film production and runs them through real Hollywood procedures.
Helping Students Adjust
Sponsored by TC Energy, a nine-week Summer Scholars Academy helps incoming freshmen prepare for and transition to college life and workloads — while giving them a head start on their classes at the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics or the Cullen College of Engineering.
A Pilot Program to Support Minority Physics Students

Sustaining the Writing Life
Students who want to write professionally after graduation without sacrificing their art can prepare for their future with UH’s Sustaining the Writing Life program, which partners students with community organizations to help fund fellowships and foster professional development. The program is part of a decade long effort to tie UH’s creative writing program more tightly to the arts, education and nonprofit communities in Houston.
