Athletic Academic All Stars

For the fourth consecutive year, the University of Houston Athletics Department set a school record, with 271 student-athletes being named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.

At least eight student-athletes from each of Houston Athletics' 17 sport programs were named to the All-Academic Team. Football led all programs with 39 honorees, while Swimming & Diving was the leading women's program with 31 selections.

To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in an American Athletic Conference-sponsored sport, attained a minimum 3.0 GPA for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.
