As the largest library on campus at 400,000 square-feet, the eight story MD Anderson Library is a haven dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and academic success. The first iteration of the UH campus library was just a few rooms in the Roy Cullen Building, which the campus quickly outgrew. In 1950, the first phase of the MD Anderson Library opened as a three-story building in the space we now know as the Red Wing.
In addition to traditional library resources, the Digital Research Commons is available for interdisciplinary research. On the second floor in the Brown Wing, there are areas available to the UH community including workstations, a lecture area, a video wall and podcast studio.
